Kyle Chupron, PsyD
Staff Therapist
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my bio. My name is Kyle Chupron, Psy.D., (he/him, bisexual-identified, cisgender man) and I am a staff therapist with Freelife Behavioral Health. Starting with a new therapist can be a very vulnerable but also a very rewarding experience; please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about my services or if you would like to schedule a consultation.
My Background
Prior to working with Freelife, I was employed by Adler Community Health Services as a doctoral intern, and I completed my Psy.D. with Adler University in 2024. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology as well as my M.A. in Theology from the University of Scranton in 2016 and 2018 respectively. I have been working for the past five years in inpatient, community mental health, and private practice settings across Chicago as part of my doctoral training and I have come to deeply appreciate the rich diversity of clientele this city has to offer.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative and catered to clients’ unique needs based on that person’s individual goals. I primarily offer individual therapy services via telehealth, and I feel well equipped to address the variety of reasons people may come into therapy. If you are looking to benefit from my clinical niches, I have expertise in topics of gender identity development, asexuality, bisexuality, healthy nonmonogamy, and how disordered eating uniquely affects LGBT+ populations.
My Expertise
I also feel specifically well equipped to facilitate the delicate conversations that occur at the intersection between religious and queer identity. Beyond LGBT+ specific services, I gladly help clients navigate depression, anxiety, life transitions, difficulties with decision making, interpersonal difficulties, and living with neurodiversity.
